Tournament Rules & Guidelines

General Tournament Rules

  • All players must have a valid CS2 account and be able to play on official servers.
  • Teams must consist of 5 main players and may include up to 2 substitute players.
  • All participants must be at least 16 years of age to compete.
  • Teams must check in 30 minutes before their scheduled match time.
  • All matches will be played on the latest version of CS2.
  • Tournament administrators have the final say in all disputes.
  • Any form of cheating will result in immediate disqualification.

Tournament Format

Most CS Gaming Hub tournaments follow a standardized format:

  • Group Stage: Teams are divided into groups where they play round-robin matches.
  • Playoffs: Top teams from each group advance to a single or double elimination bracket.
  • Map Selection: Maps are selected through a veto process before each match.
  • Match Format: Best-of-1 for group stages, Best-of-3 for playoffs, and Best-of-5 for finals.

Player & Team Eligibility

  • All players must reside in the United States to participate in regional tournaments.
  • Players may only compete on one team per tournament.
  • Teams must maintain at least 3 of their original registered players throughout the tournament.
  • For skill-based divisions, team average rank/rating must fall within the specified range.
  • Professional players may be restricted from amateur-level tournaments.

Prize Distribution

Standard prize pool distribution for CS Gaming Hub tournaments:

  • 1st Place: 50% of prize pool
  • 2nd Place: 25% of prize pool
  • 3rd Place: 15% of prize pool
  • 4th Place: 10% of prize pool

Prize payments are processed within 30 days of tournament completion. All winners must complete required tax documentation.
